CPU uses the machine cycle to process each instruction. the first step of machine cycle  our fatch, decode, execute and Store.

Fetch

instruction fetch is the process of getting an instruction from the memory to execute it. this process is performed by the control unit.

Decode

the control unit decode the instruction. this process examine the nature Of destruction to determine what furniture operations should be taken. control unit to move the required data from memory to a l u.

 Execute

after decoding destruction and getting the required data CPU finally execute that instruction the instruction is executed by a l u .

Storing

this process of writing the result to the memory is car storing. these four operation collectively Are called a machine cycle instruction cycle. the time required to fetch and decode instruction is called instruction time, i-time. the time required to execute and store is called execution time or e-time.
